Africa is continually called a dying continent, a dark continent, a corrupt continent.
The chaos of Africa demands leadership that can see beyond
the now into a preferred future that has the courage to inspire
a new generation to strive for change
Change is needed and Time is NOW!
A
Humble Beginning...Brigitte
Kitenge along with Husband Leon, fled to Congo in 1994 during the Genocide
war that devastated the country of RWANDA. They started to work with Assemblies
of God churches in South Kivu and UGANDA. They arrived in USA in September
2000 carrying their four daughters and a big vision. The Lord spoke to
them to see themselves as missionaries and not as refugees. In obedience
they began to visit American churches speaking and sharing the burden that
the Lord has led to their hearts, “To win Africa for Jesus.”
“The prevailing conditions of Africa are hopelessness, insecurity, depression, uncertainly, emotional and social trauma, discouragement and despair. The level of religious conflict is high as ever before; the economy is collapsing day after day, political instability, epidemics, and tribal conflicts. The real need of Africa is not the food or clothes that humanitarian Organizations are giving away.
Lack of leadership and poor management has facilitated the deterioration of the conditions in which colonialism has left us.
Resolving the African enigma will require endurance and commitment. It will take time because change is a process, but it is possible to bring about change”. Said Dr. Brigitte Kitenge: during the official opening of the African Global Mission USA 2001.
From then on, AGM has hosted yearly pastor’s conventions and trainings in the Nashville areas. “When I got challenged in my leadership, I extended my education and got more knowledge and leadership skills”.
